What is holistic living?

It’s not spa days and smoothies. It’s about engineering your environment so your body can do what it was designed to do—sleep deeply, move freely, digest efficiently, and feel calm. Our ancestors didn’t optimize their health—they just lived in sync with nature. Holistic living brings that into the modern world with intention and tools


How do I start living a holistic lifestyle?

Start by noticing where you’re out of sync. Is your sleep trash? Are you indoors all day? Do you sit 10+ hours? Are you overstimulated at night? Fix the obvious stuff. Create a bedroom that supports deep rest. Walk outside first thing in the morning. Cut blue light at night. Layer in simple changes until your body starts feeling like yours again.


What can I change today to live more holistically?

Swap your overhead lights for red/orange bulbs after sunset. Ground your feet to the earth for 10 minutes to increase cellular potential throughout the body. Fix your workstation so you’re not slumping because posture (structure) dictates function. Breathe—deeply, slowly, and with awareness. Your breathing is directly tied into your central nervous system and almost no one knows how to breathe. 

Get sun in your eyes before looking at a screen. Light can impact your hormones more than food! These aren’t hacks. They’re a return to sanity.


Is this biohacking?

While biohacking has some merit, the name is fundamentally different from what we do at Haven. We aren’t trying to “hack” the body and push it into certain patterns. Instead, we work with the inherent wisdom of the body that we all possess. There is an intelligence within the human body that, when tapped into, has greater healing potential than anything else. Our intention is to bring our physiology back into alignment with the proper environment that humans have lived in for thousands of years, even in modern times. When we achieve this alignment, transformation can occur.
